Dipping sauce A for dumplings

This delightful sweet, sour, spicy and salty dipping sauce is the perfect accompanist for potstickers or Chinese dumplings. It elevates the dumpling dish to the next level.

Ingredients
  

  • 60 ml soy sauce
  • 45 ml water
  • 45 ml honey
  • 30 ml rice wine vinegar
  • 1 red chili, finely chopped or 1/4 tsp chili flakes
  • 6 cm fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 spring onions, finely chopped

Instructions
 

  • Pour the soy sauce, water and honey into a microwave proofed dish and heat for 20 seconds so the honey gets easily incorporated into the other ingredients.
  • Add the other ingredients and stir to combine.
  • I like to make the sauce a few hours ahead of the dumplings, so the flavors can develop.
    If you don't have the time for it, the sauce will still do it's magic to the dumplings.
